Ketua KPK Abraham Samad – Jakarta Chairman of the KPK Abraham Samad believes the work to combat corruption will be free from intervention from anyone. Including from the Palace though. “No intervention,” said Abraham told detik.com, Saturday (03/12/2011).
Abraham acknowledged, moments before the leadership election of the Commission and Chairman of the Commission, he invited the factions in the Parliament as PKB, PAN and PDIP. But the meeting only to find out its vision and mission, if elected as Chairman of the KPK.
“Yes I just Mr Bambang Widjojanto present when invited,” said the originator of data corruption NGO Quit Information Section (ACC) in South Sulawesi.
Abraham also said he was free from the court intervention. When he was elected as Chairman of the Commission, neither side had made contact Palace.
“No phone calls from the Palace,” said the man who began his career as a lawyer.
Abraham beat Bambang Widjojanto and Adnan Pandu Praja in voting by the election of Chairman of Commission III Commission on Friday (3 / 12) yesterday. Abraham obtained 43 votes, Busyro Muqoddas 5 votes, Bambang Widjojanto 4 votes, Zulkarnain 4 votes, while Adnan 1 vote.
